Community Building Partnership, a HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agency, has various programs to help first-time homebuyers and Stark County residents looking to improve their financial picture.
City of Canton Down Payment Assistance
Eligible applicants can receive up to $5,000 toward down payment and costs associated with purchasing your first home. The program objective is to offer low-to-moderate income, first-time home buyers assistance with these upfront costs of purchasing a home, making home ownership more affordable. All you need to get started is a letter of pre-approval from a lender and a purchase agreement.
Budget & Credit Counseling
Meet with a HUD-certified Housing Counselor to discuss your spending plan, monthly budget, credit score, and how to achieve your financial goals. Sessions are free of cost and slots are available during normal business hours. Our counseling sessions are open to all Stark County residents regardless of homeownership status and income.

Financial Workshops
