Community Building Partnership of Stark County, Inc. is Stark County’s community development intermediary and is committed to restoring the health and prosperity of Stark County neighborhoods.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Community Building Partnership of Stark County, Inc. (CBP) is to promote the revitalization of neighborhoods in Stark County.
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
We accomplish our mission by leading and directing partnership-based, neighborhood-specific revitalization planning efforts; and by developing needed community development policies, programs, and tools that promote resident and community investment in Stark County neighborhoods.
CBP supports community renewal through programs and services that:
-Lead and facilitate community planning processes that engage residents and stakeholders to work in partnership to create and implement targeted, neighborhood renewal plans;
-Provide financial and technical support for programs, projects, and operations to non profit organizations so they can implement these neighborhood revitalization plans; and
-Provide local policy support and assistance to local governments and foundations that lead to programs and tools promoting effective community development systems for Stark County.
OUR VALUES
We value the role of residents as leaders in our neighborhood efforts; residents are seen as “first among equals” within our partnerships.
We value partnerships that include residents and other stakeholders working together to craft neighborhood plans and efforts.
We value the role of homeownership in stabilizing our neighborhoods while recognizing the need for a variety of housing options in our neighborhood efforts.
We value the role of local non profit community development organizations in developing and directing neighborhood renewal efforts in Stark County’s neighborhoods.
