Community Building Partnership of Stark County, Inc. is proud to be a sponsor of the neighborhood renewal efforts taking place in the NW and NE neighborhoods of Canton. CBP has sponsored the work of national neighborhood strategist David Boehlke in Stark County and is focusing its neighborhood efforts in 6 of the 15 neighborhoods Mr. Boehlke recommended in his “Canton Neighborhood Project.” To show our support and commitment, CBP has partnered with Cleveland Restoration Society (CRS), as well as their lending partner KeyBank to offer rehabilitation services (technical and financial assistance) to owners of older and historic homes (50 years) through CRS’s Heritage Home Program.
Canton Heritage Home Program
Cleveland Restoration Society (CRS) offers a range of services that help you preserve the historic character of your home and increase its value, while updating interior features and installing energy efficient systems. CRS has built an excellent reputation for facilitating high quality rehabilitation throughout the region. The Canton Heritage Home Program (SM) is a model that blends historic preservation with community and economic development strategies. Through the Canton Heritage Home Program (SM), CRS’s field staff provides technical and financial assistance to owners of older and historic homes. The staff makes staff visits, assesses conditions; prioritizes work; provides a low-interest rehabilitation loan; assists in finding qualified contractors; and monitors the work to completion.
How CRS Assists Homeowners
If your home is 50 years or older, the Cleveland Restoration Society (CRS) can help you restore, repair and maintain it. Exterior and Interior projects, such as painting, energy efficiency, roofing, kitchen and baths, and more are eligible.
