Operating Support Program 2006-2011

Provided critical operating support for Community Development Corporations (CDCs) to expand staff capabilities and organizational capacity.

2011

CBP provided a total of $82,000 to the following four Stark-County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities.

The ABCD, Inc. / J.R. Coleman Renovations Corporation / Hammer and Nails, Inc. / Project Rebuild, Inc.

These grants allowed 4 CDCs to continue to employ additional staff members to manage housing and economic development activities and expand current services: total increase in capacity: 2 full time employees/3 part time employees

2010

CBP provided a total of $150,000 to the following five Stark-County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities.

ABCD, Inc. / Freed Housing Corporation / JR Coleman Renovations Corporation / Hammer and Nails, Inc. / Project Rebuild, Inc.

These grants allowed 5 CDCs to continue to employ additional staff members to manage housing and economic development activities and expand current services: total increase in capacity:  5 full time employees

2009

CBP provided a total of $150,000 to the following seven Stark-County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities.

ABCD, Inc. / SCOPP, Inc. / Freed Housing Corporation / Multi-Development Services of Stark County

JR Coleman Renovations Corporation / Hammer and Nails, Inc. / Project Rebuild, Inc. (new in 2009)

These grants allowed 7 CDCs to continue to employ additional staff members to manage housing and economic development activities and expand current services: total increase in capacity:  5 full time employees, 2 part time employees.

2008

CBP provided a total of $140,000 to the following six Stark-County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities.

ABCD, Inc. / SCOPP / Freed Housing Corporation / Multi-Development Services of Stark County

JR Coleman Renovations Corporation / Hammer and Nails, Inc.

These grants allowed 6 CDCs to continue to employ additional staff members to manage housing and economic development activities and expand current services: total increase in capacity:  6 full time employees.

2007

CBP provided $135,000 to the following seven Stark County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities:

ABCD, Inc.  /  SCOPP  /  Freed Housing Corporation  /  Multi-Development Services of Stark County

JR Coleman Renovations Corporation  /  East Alliance Neighborhood Development Corporation

Hammer and Nails (new in 2007)

These grants allowed 5 CDCs to continue to employ additional staff members to manage a new endeavor and 2 CDCs to expand current services: total increase in capacity:  5 full time employees and 2 part-time.

2006

CBP provided $134,000 to the following six Stark County-based CDCs for neighborhood revitalization, housing development, and economic development activities:

ABCD, Inc.  /  SCOPP  /  Freed Housing Corporation  /  Multi-Development Services of Stark County

JR Coleman Renovations Corporation  /  East Alliance Neighborhood Development Corporation

These grants allowed these CDCs to each hire one additional staff member to manage a new endeavor or expand current services: total increase in capacity:  6 employees.
